The first “Pirates of the Caribbean” became a box-office monster, so it’s not really a surprise a sequel is being made, and the good thing is that all of the folks from the first movie are onboard for this one. From the trailer and stories I could find around the internet, it seems our good Captain Sparrow (Johnny Depp) finds out he owes a debt to Davey Jones, another Captain, and it’s time to pay up. The problem is Jack has to find a way to get out of his debt, or his afterlife is doomed. Somehow Will (Orlando Bloom) and Elizabeth (Keira Knightley) get involved, wouldn’t ya know, and it’s lots of Pirate adventures and weird things afoot, and that’s all really want, don’t we?

The trailer made me chuckle in many of the same ways the original film made me, so I’m hoping they just keep to the spirit of the movie. My guess is this will be as big a box-office monster as the original.
