The Dude on the Right was a half-fan of “Family Guy,” a full-fan of “Star Wars,” so he expected to be a 3/4 fan of “Family Guy: Something, Something, Something, Dark Side.” Oddly enough he became a 5 Star fan of the Blu-ray, and during is review he does his best to explain why. Okay, he doesn’t really explain too much, but he loved the extended episode, is becoming a “Family Guy” convert, and thinks “Family Guy” fans will love the “Fact-Up” Special Feature.

American Idol is Coming, Up In the Air is Good, Jay Leno is Moving, and 3-D TV Will Survive.
Another Stu & The Dude’s "Weekend Wrap-Up!" podcast has come, and the boys talk about porn. Well, they sort of talk about porn, namely a sexbot and 3-D-ness, and if anything else at the CES show last week will be a staple of tomorrow because of sex. There is talk of a new computer, about computer server issues, about beer, about movies bad and good for kids, i.e., The Pink Panther 1 & 2, about movies for adults, i.e., Up In The Air, about TV catching up with "Chuck," and the return of "American Idol." The dudes don’t talk about Jay Leno that much, what with him losing his show and all, but hey, it’s topical, and Stu’s not really a fan, so why not, there is some Jay Leno talk as well. So much, so little time, yet Stu and The Dude figure a way to squeeze it into a 20-minute podcast.

I was really worried that computer server woes would stop me from posting our "Weekend Wrap-Up!" podcast, but thankfully things have been fixed just in time for Stu Gotz’s and my weekly chat,, especially with "American Idol" starting tomorrow. Stu and I do a little dissecting of "American Idol," what with Paula Abdul gone, Simon Cowell leaving, Ellen DeGeneres onboard, and the auditions in Boston coming up, but, as we sometimes do, we quickly shift topics, and hide the children but it’s also time for the Adult Video News Awards in Las Vegas where we find out what technology that was at the CES show last week will be supported by the porn industry.
As the podcast continues with some adultness, I let Stu know if "Up In The Air," the George Clooney movie, is any good, Stu is catching up on "Chuck" so hopefully next week we will be on the same page, and in terms of kid-ness, Stu was shocked that "Pink Panther 1" is actually worse than "Pink Panther 2."
Stu’s sister got a new computer and doesn’t know what a web browser is, Jay Leno is doing something, and Stu is going to beer school. All of that, and more, as 2010 continues!

Stu & The Dude’s Weekend Wrap-Up! No Sleep, No New Satellite, No Jon Bovi, No Oprah Caroling, but Yes Movies.

The Dude on the Right
For this edition of our "Weekend Wrap-Up!" podcast I’m tired and Stu Gotz is grumpy, but we do our best to get past that and keep the energy up without dragging you down. I explain to Stu about my tiredness, mostly because I couldn’t sleep because of some songs stuck in my head (and there is some singing about dradles and butcher boys involved), while Stu is grumpy not because of the cable guy, but because of the satellite guy. As we get through our various issues, our weekends come into play because Stu got to see some Christmas music being played after driving for nearly an hour and a half, while I got to witness, first-hand, how kids react differently to Santa Claus.
On the movie front, Stu is recommending "Inkheart" which is now on cable, while I’m not recommending "Duplicity," but if you have kids we both think "G-Force" will be good for you on Blu-ray. We are both disgusted with the Chicago Bears, I relate the utter disappointment that my BFF had because Saturday Night Live seemed to have dropped the ball on a seemingly obvious skit involving Jon Bovi and Bon Jovi, and Stu’s finding creepiness didn’t seem to translate to my BFF and I watching the series finale of Monk.
Stu does bring some grumpiness back to the podcast as there was some bizarre Christmas gifting at a Taekwondo party, and because I tweet and follow Oprah, I’m still waiting to see some video of her caroling with her friends, and both of us are looking forward to "Avatar," while the ladies in their lives might be more likely to want to see "Did You Hear About the Morgans." That will have to wait until next week.

A Tiger, A Reunion, A Bed, A Toilet Paper Holder, and Getting Old(er).
The Dude on the Right and Stu Gotz got together for a fraternity reunion weekend, so their “Weekend Wrap-Up!” podcast deals with a lot of that. They also discuss beds, getting older, and improperly designed placement of toilet paper holders before getting to other fun stuff, like new shows on Hulu (21 Jumpstreet, The Commish, and The Greatest American Hero.) Neither of them have yet to see “The Blind Side,” Stu saw the “Monk” finale but tried not to ruin it for The Dude, and sure, this week there is some Tiger Woods talk as the boys jump on the “Bash Tiger” bandwagon.

It was college fraternity reunion weekend for Stu Gotz and I, so during our “Weekend Wrap-Up!” podcast there is ample talk about friends who get together, year after year, for over 20 years. We talk about the nice dinner at “Cyrano’s Bistro and Wine Bar” in Chicago, about the difference between dudes getting together and dudettes getting together, about getting older, about bed sizes, and about improperly designed toilet paper holders at the Dana Hotel & Spa.
Now, as much as we talk about friends getting together, it’s also a weekend, and Stu saw the “Monk” finale while I did not. Stu doesn’t really ruin the episode but does clue me in to see if I find some creepiness when I decide to watch it, and even though everyone else seems to be going to see “The Blind Side,” somehow we, two movie-seeing dudes, have yet to catch the film.
Yes, we do talk a bit about the Tiger Woods goings on, or at least a funny Jimmy Kimmel bit, and finally, Hulu has some shows for you to watch, shows that you might remember if you are old, like us, namely “21 Jumpstreet,” “The Commish,” and “The Greatest American Hero.”

Black Friday Shopping Advice, The Winner of Dancing With the Stars, Movies and Monk!
Black Friday is coming and during their "Weekend Wrap-Up!" podcast, Stu Gotz and The Dude on the Right give their shopping advice, tell you where the great deals aren’t, and only one of them might be up at 5am on Friday. Neither of them aren’t watching "Dancing With the Stars," although they do give their analysis of the winner, or at least who of Donny Osmond, Mya, or Kelly Osbourne should win, and Stu almost saw dancing at the circus. The boys talk Facebook picture posting, good deed doing, and even though they didn’t venture out to the movies, Stu did see "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang," so the kid in both of them sort of comes out. Finally, they’ll both miss "Monk" when it comes to a close, Oprah is leaving over a year from now, and the Chicago Bears still suck. Such is another podcast as Thanksgiving is upon them!

Even though Stu Gotz and I got delayed and our "Weekend Wrap-Up!" podcast is on Tuesday, there is still no denying that the Chicago Bears still suck. Football sucking aside, I’m wondering if the winner of "Dancing With the Stars" will be Donny Osmond, Mya, or Kelly Osbourne, and we give our expert analysis even though neither of us has seen the show this year. Stu sort of saw dancing when he went to the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey circus, and I let Stu know that it’s not looking like there will be any dancing when the series finale of "Monk" comes around.
We both do some Black Friday analysis with Stu not recommending a notebook computer that is going on sale and me thinking about a cheap Blu-ray player, although not cheap enough for me to be at a Wal-Mart at 5AM on a Friday morning. Stu does have a Black Friday shopping secret that he tells during the podcast, but I’m sure I’ll forget about it by Wednesday.
And finally, along with Black Friday shopping advice we also give some Facebook picture posting advice (namely don’t post any pictures of you having fun if you are clinically depressed), that no good deed goes, well, sometimes you’ve still got to get paid, and who doesn’t love "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang?"
Thanks for listening, and Happy Thanksgiving!

A Peace Prize, Couples Retreat, Where’s My Sidekick Stuff, and Stupid People!
Stu Gotz doesn’t really tell The Dude on the Right much about his weekend during their "Weekend Wrap-Up!" Podcast, but that’s okay because there is enough stuff going on that even if Stu did have a boring weekend, the boys have lots to talk about. It seems The Dude did do something this weekend, namely seeing "Couples Retreat," so he tells Stu if it’s a movie to take Mama Gotz to see, but Stu is more interested in what The Dude thinks about President Obama winning the Nobel Peace Prize, if he knows what is wrong with people’s Sidekicks, and if he ever saw Alyssa Milano naked. The both have TV woes, the dude wonders about the flu shot, and Stu sees stupid people, but what else is new?
The Chicago Olympics, Monday TV Viewing, Surrogates, Jim Cantore Calls Stu, and More!
The Dude on the Right and Stu Gotz have a busy weekend, but thankfully a lot of it during this "Weekend Wrap-Up!" podcast isn’t about politics, although there is talk about President Obama going to Denmark to cheer on the Chicago Olympic folks, although we doubt he’ll be giving Chia Obama’s as parting gifts. The Dude is bummed he missed the F-Bomb dropping during Saturday Night Live, Stu wants The Dude to watch Pawn Shop, and who knew Stu Gotz would spawn some talented kids, but he did!
They talk about flu shots at strip clubs, how they both didn’t like the movie "Surrogates," options to record/watch all of their TV shows, and happily Stu’s personal phone call from Jim Cantore wasn’t necessary for his family’s safety this time, but he was glad he got one. Somehow, even with all of this, they even get some time to talk about The Chicago Bears, and Stu makes the discovery of a lifetime, namely he found where you can buy Franken Berry, Boo Berry, and Count Chocula. All is well with the world.
