Sure, most of us older dudes without kids will
be seeing "Hancock" over the 4th of July weekend, but if you
have a little girl, and that little girl is a fan of an
"American Girl," and I'm not talking about the Tom Petty
song, you will most likely have to take her to see this
movie. The thing is, even from this dude's perspective, the darn thing looks really cute. The story is simple, that
it's taking place in the Great Depression and Kit lives at
the family boarding house while dad (Chris O'Donnell) is
trying to find work and keep money coming in. But Kit is a
writer, a dreamer, and she sees that some things are amuck,
so she rounds up her friends to set things strait.
The 4th of July movie weekend starts on July 2nd, and
it's looking to have a lot for everyone in the movie-going
world, especially if Mother Nature screws up your outdoor
plans.
