Opening in January, finally most of the artsy movies will be done,
and we can just get a decent movie about a recruit joining the Naval
Academy. Isn’t that what we all want after Christmas?
Here’s the simple synopsis…
James Franko is Jack. He’s a dude who doesn’t have nearly the
connections or standing in society to get into the United States
Naval Academy, yet from the trailer, he pesters his way in. Cole is
played by Tyrese Gibson. For most of those at the Academy, they got
in after high school, yet Cole found his way there after serving a
couple of tours of duty and now is an instructor. Cole sees a great
future for Jack, only Jack doesn’t always see it, and the story
isn’t new, but it looks fairly entertaining. It’s also got Jordana
Brewster, who’s looking great.
I’ll have to see how the football season is going if I get a
chance to see this film, but it doesn’t look horrible, just kind of
re-hashed at a different military school. So what.
