I became a fan of Outkast when I drank some bad water outside of the
U.S., and as I was stuck in bed, sweating out the demons that make
things come up and out and go down and out, and well, on the MTV
there,
actually a video channel, in heavy rotation was “The Whole World,”
and I became a fan. Fine, not a fan that actually bought any Outkast
music, but still enjoyed them, from then, and past the “Polaroid
Picture” days.
From what I’ve read, they boys of Outcast have their differences,
but I don’t care because this movie looks like a lot of fun. From
what I can gather, the movie is set in the south, when selling
liquor is illegal (and that is so wrong.) Anyway, it’s a club, and
things don’t always go well in a club, but for a movie about
something like this, the music looks to be a lot of fun and there
are some love stories and other things going on.
This movie isn’t really geared towards me, a middle-aged white
dude in the Midwest, but the music sounds great, it looks like a lot
of fun, and it’s got a bunch of good names to go along with it, so
I’m hoping to catch this one.
