In Good Company

Getting lots of good buzz is this movie, “In Good Company,”
as just a nice movie. Dennis Quaid plays a dude who gets a new boss.
Fine, lots of people get a new boss everyday, but most of them aren’t
young enough to be their son, nor in love with their daughter. Topher
Grace is the new boss, Carter, Dennis Quaid is Dan, now under Carter’s
thumb, and Scarlett Johansson is the cute daughter, Alex.
It seems Carter gets the job without any experience in the
advertising world, works himself out of his current relationship, and
now has no life. He ends up working his way into the family life of
Dan, and into the life of Alex, much to the dismay of Dan. In the
meantime he convinces Dan that being his wingman is a good thing
because it means Dan keeps his job, and in the end we get a funny,
heartwarming story about family. At least that what the trailer seems
to show.
I’ll probably try to catch this one, if only for Scarlett Johansson
and Marg Helgenberger (she plays the mom), and hopefully it will live
up to the funny, heartwarming tale it says it wants to be.
