Denzel Washington is a cop, a hostage negotiator as it would be,
but he doesn’t know what he is getting into. Some dude robs a bank,
takes some hostages, and Denzel gets called in. He’s doing what he
do, but then comes Jodie Foster, telling him that things aren’t
really what they seem, that things are above his pay grade, and
Denzel just wants to know what it is they seem. Inside the bank the
robber seems to have things under control, in many a weird way, but
maybe he doesn’t know that Jodie Foster is involved.
The trailers show a fun thriller, and Denzel and Jodie are
usually top-notch, so in the time of movies being just fun things to
escape to, “Inside Man” looks to be one of them. Nothing out and out
great, just something to get you engrossed in a story for a couple
of hours is what I think, at least from the trailer. Hopefully
Denzel and Jodie, and hell, Clive Owen, be their normal selves to
give me a nice thriller.
