Why, oh why, do we need a remake of “Invasion of the Body
Snatchers?” This movie has so many bad rumors around it,
from re-writes, to re-shoots, to Nicole Kidman getting hurt
in a car crash, to it being bumped and bumped and bumped,
that the only thing it might have going for it right now is
that the only other movie that opens against it is “Superbad.”
There’s a crash from space, people get infected by some
space disease, and if you sleep, well, you wake up body
snatched. Nicole Kidman thinks she might have a way to stop
the spread of the disease, if only she doesn’t fall asleep.
Who knows on this one? It doesn’t look that great, but I
guess we’ll just have to wait and see.
