A Movie Preview |

Go figure, Ridley Scott making an epic adventure movie? This time
instead of gladiators we get transported to the time of the Crusades,
you know, when the Christians went back to the Holy Land to get their
land back because the Jews and Muslims were taking it from them. Why
can’t we all just get along? Anyway, Orlando Bloom gets tapped to
somehow save his people in Jerusalem from being overtaken by the
invading hordes, falls in love with a Queen, and lots of action
ensues.
If anyone can make an exciting epic movie, well, it’s Ridely Scott,
although we’ll have to see if Orlando Bloom can really take the lead
role.
The one thing that I wonder, and I guess we’ll see by the box
office, is if we are tired of sword-wielding knights, catapults, and
12th Century epic movies. I guess we’ll see.
