Part of me wants to like this movie because,
well, the trailer looks kind of funny. We've got a group of
tiny aliens living in a "spaceship" that looks like a human,
and it is reminiscent of an old movie about sex, I think,
only it's not about sex. Nope, this one has Eddie Murphy
manning the controls of Dave, the spaceship, only somehow
someone, or something, falls in love with someone here on
Earth.
I like Eddie Murphy, and I really hope this movie ends up
high in the funny scale because he does have the goofy
quality that should work for a movie like this. The only
problem I think that this movie might have is if it dumbs itself
down to the kiddy crowd instead of letting Eddie Murphy be a
little more funny for us adults. I always liked the
adult Eddie Murphy.
