This looks to be set up as a fun family film for the Christmas
weekend, and the trailer was kind of funny.
Pretty much you get Ben Stiller playing Larry. He needs a job and
finds it as the night watchman at a natural history museum. The
other folks warn him not to let anything out of the museum when he
is on his watch, which he finds as a confusing statement until, at
night, the exhibits come to life. Yup, you’ve got Gladiators,
dinosaurs, and all of those other things you might find at a natural
history museum coming to life in the dead of night, and Larry finds
himself in the middle of it. And of course, for a movie like this,
hilarity is supposed to ensue.
I’ve been a pretty good fan of Ben Stiller, and a movie such as
this seems to lend itself to his form of comedy. Right now it looks
to be some silly, Christmas-time fun, so hopefully it will end up
that way.
