Even with Heather Locklear in this movie, I doubt I'll end up seeing
it mostly, because, well, it's a teen girl flick. The story in
the trailer pretty much goes that Hilary Duff plays Holly, the
daughter of mom (Locklear), who really wants her Mom to find a good
guy. Sure, there's the nice side of that, it would be good to
have Mom in a healthy relationship, but for Holly, she really wants
Mom with a good guy because every time Mom breaks up, usually with a
loser, they skip town and plant themselves somewhere else and Holly is
sick of it.With Mom heading down the same path, Holly cooks up this
plan to have a secret admirer start sending Mom gifts and nice notes,
and low-and-behold, Mom thinks she has found the man of her dreams.
Now Holly must produce a real person so she enlists the help of her
friend and along comes Uncle Ben, played by Chris Noth. Does Mom
actually find love with Uncle Ben? Does Mom find out about
Holly's original plan? Does Mom find another loser?
Answers to all of these questions and more will be answered in the
movie, but for me, I may never know because the weekend this comes out
I'll probably be catching
"Batman Begins" instead.
Looks fun for the teen girl crowd, not so much fun for the
thirty-something S.I.N.K. male.
