This is a weird call for me because sometimes I love Martin Lawrence,
but a lot of times I don't, and this movie seems so cookie-cutter that
I really don't know how to call it.Pretty much Martin Lawrence
starts out playing a college basketball coach. Then of course he
makes a public spectacle out of himself, gets kicked out of the
college ranks, and finds himself coaching a rag-tag group of junior
varsity kids. Then of course he somehow makes this kids work
together, likes coaching them, and blah, blah, blah, he learns
lessons, the kids learn lessons, and everyone lives happily ever
after.
The weird thing about his movie is it's rated PG, which is slightly
odd for Martin Lawrence. Part of this looks cookie-cutter funny,
part of it looks like a story told over and over again, and I just
don't know what to think. This might be the movie you'll see if
you don't go to "War
of the Worlds."
