Pretend if you will that you are a dudette. You're pretty hot,
flying solo, and your flight gets way delayed. You run into a
kinda cute and intriguing fellow, and actually take him up on his
offer to get some Mexican food in the airport. He seems like an
okay dude. Low and behold you're seated next to him in the
airplane, and maybe you're thinking you should get a blanket for the
both of you to maybe do a little hanky-panky up at 30,000 feet on this
redeye flight. Okay, I made that last part up, but you are
seated next to him. Then, low and behold, he tells you that he
has to kill a rich dude, and you must help him otherwise your father
is a dead man. Bad news, you aren't allowed to use your cell
phone on a plane and they got rid of those Airfones, so you can't even
try to get some help with them. What to do, what to do?
Normally I would just write this off as another cheap thriller, but
two words keep this movie high on my radar screen, and those two words
are Wes Craven.
It seems Wes Craven is directing this thriller, and he's usually
pretty great at it, and the story is creepy enough he should be able
to succeed.
Look, I know Wes Craven has had a few misses in his Directing
career, but this one has a lot of ingredients to be a winner. I
hope I'm not wrong.
