From the trailer I saw this looks to be a movie about a
hit-and-run gone wrong. Dwight (Mark Ruffalo) is coming home
one night and hits Josh, the son of Ethan (Joaquin Phoenix).
Dwight speeds home hiding his SUV, the police investigate
but really don't find anything, and Ethan, frustrated that
not enough is being done, goes about tormenting Ethan as he
believes it was Ethan who killed his kid. Things get out of
hand when guns get involved, and for some reason I don't
think things will end up with everyone living happily ever
after.
The trailer looked pretty good for this flick, with
Joaquin Phoenix really started to show he can always be a
solid actor in a variety of roles. It's from Focus Features
so it might not open that wide at first, but it's that time
of year when the Oscar contenders start to be released, and
this might be one of them.
