I never reviewed the original Scooby Doo movie, but I do
recall that I pretty much didn’t like it and hoped it wouldn’t do well
enough so that they wouldn’t make a sequel. Sadly it made a bunch of
cash, so the meddling kids are back.
The latest trailer says that some mad-person has brought back all
of the monsters the kids have gotten rid of, and those monsters are
wreaking havoc across the city. It’s up to our heroes to save the day,
but somehow Shaggy and Scooby mess things up, soiling the reputation
of the monster chasers. Now it’s up to Shaggy and Scoob to get Mystery
Inc.’s good name back.
We do get the likes of Alicia Silverstone as a reporter, and Seth
Green can usually be counted on for a couple of laughs, but I’m not
looking forward to this one. I’ll probably see it anyway, but only
because I have to.
