The original made a good chunk of change, so a sequel was always a
thought, but it looks like they took a movie that was really made for
teens and above and turned it into a little kid’s film.
This time the Mask ends up on a baby and a dog, and we get both of
them trying to keep the Mask. Hilarity then ensues.
I feel a real letdown in this sequel coming from the commanding
performance of Jim Carrey in the original. Jamie Kennedy is the lead
playing the dad of the little kid, but it does have Traylor Howard who
I always found kinda cute.
It will depend what else is coming out at the theater if I catch
this flick, but it doesn’t look promising for the adult crowd, just a
bunch of fun stuff for the little kids. I hope not, but we’ll see.
