Sorority Boys
A Movie Review |
|
|
Okay, the movie is stupid, every joke is pretty much
set-up and trampled, but I, who might be one of the most easily amused
persons in the world, actually liked "Sorority Boys". Yea, I know you
probably won’t, and I’ll give enough of the story away in this review
that you really won’t need to see the movie, but you probably won’t
see it anyway. So, here goes…In "Sorority Boys" we get the
fraternity of Kappa Omicron Kappa. Yea, that’s right, KOK. They are
always partying, don’t seem to study much, and just seem to go for the
hot women. In fact, if you’re ugly and end up at their party, they
call the "dog catchers", a.k.a. the pledges, to throw a net over you
and toss you from the party. At KOK the President of the fraternity
gets no respect, and the boys who actually run things, or at least set
up the parties, are Doofer (Harland Williams), Dave (Barry Watson),
and Adam (Michael Rosenbaum). After being set-up for stealing the
fraternity’s money, our three heroes get kicked out of the house.
Well, there is some evidence that could clear their name, but they
can’t get back in the house to get it, so they don some women’s
clothes and crash one of the KOK parties. Needless to say the "dog
catchers" are called and they get tossed out onto the entryway of the
sorority house Delta Omicron Gamma. Yea, that’s right, DOG, the
sorority house where the "ugly" girls stay. Needing a place to stay,
Doofer, Dave, and Adam move right in, conning all of the girls that
they are girls.
So, yea, you can guess that by staying at the sorority house, our
three chauvinistic dudes now view girls in a new light, and yea, you
can guess that one of the guys, Dave, falls for one of the girls, Leah
(Melissa Sagemiller), and yea, you can guess that one of the guys in
the KOK house falls for one of the dudes, in this case Adam, and yea,
you can guess that there will be some blatant nudity, jokes about
dildos, and hairy French women.
It’s a dumb story but I enjoyed it. Nothing was surprising but I
enjoyed it. And even though I know those probably weren’t really
Melissa Sagemiller’s boobies in the shower because they never showed
her face while showing the boobies (a clear sign of stunt-boobies), I
can always dream. You get what you expect, and I liked it, but, in all
honesty, rating-wise this is really a 1 ½ star movie, if that. Don’t
even spend the money on a rental, wait for late-night cable.
That’s it for this one! I’m The Dude on the Right!! L8R!!! |
