There Will Be Blood

"There Will Be Blood" has been getting its share of
accolades lately by those who have already seen the movie,
and from the trailer it does look like a great film. The
trailer pretty much tells the story of a dude, Daniel
(Daniel Day-Lewis), who finds some oil. Oil means money, but
in the little town he finds the oil there is also a wacky
preacher who might just be getting in his way. He spouts his
love for his family, namely his son, and in the world of
business, and a new oil town, you can bet the greed of money
can get in the way of all of the things you used to stand
for.
Paul Thomas Anderson does have a track record as a
director to develop films that are striking yet weird, and
"There Will Be Blood" looks like one of those films.
Hopefully it will be as good as the initial hype, and if so,
will move out of the art house theaters and into the
gigaplexes.
