I vaguely recall seeing the trailers for the first “Transporter”
flick, thought it looked pretty cool, but never made it to the
theater to see it. The trailers for “Transporter 2” looks pretty
cool, also, but I’m not thrilled at the PG-13 rating it’s getting
(yes, I do understand the original was rated the same).
The trailer, in its simplest, shows Frank (Jason Statham) in the
United States, transporting a kid. The kid ends up missing, he is
suspected of being the bad guy, but he knows that there is more to
this kidnapping that meets the eye, and we are hinted that this has
to do with some kind of poisoning weapon.
I suppose the story premise is slightly secondary to a movie like
this, because from the trailer, most of this type of film has to do
with the kick-ass fight scenes, the action, the shooting (although
we probably won’t get to see anyone getting actually blown away),
and some hot women. Sadly, I assuming we might get some side boob
action, and maybe some sleeping around, but for the most part this
one is about kicking some ass, saving the kid and the world, and
saving your good name.
