Jet Li is Danny. There is only one thing he knows how to do and that’s
kick the crap out of people. His boss, more like his owner, is Bart
(Bob Hoskins). He makes Danny wear this weird collar, kinda like a
caged dog. Pretty much Bart just has Danny take out people in the
ultimate, ultimate style fighting, and Bart’s making a bunch of cash
off of this. Somehow Danny gets away, and ends up meeting Sam. Sam’s a
blind piano guy and somehow he starts to teach Danny to be a real
person and just not a killing machine. But Bart’s not happy because he
lost his money train, so now can Danny live a normal life or will he
be back in the cage under Bart’s rule once more?
Morgan Freeman is more and more showing off that he really is a
great actor, and Jet Li is usually pretty good in the role of a
fighter. This one looks like it has a lot going for it, and I’m just
hoping it gets a little wider release than Rogue Pictures films
usually get so I can catch it at my local megaplex.
