My curiosity is peeked on this movie and it really isn’t based on the
story. It’s because it has been given an R rating, supposedly just for
strong language and sexual content, so that must be some really strong
language, and nothing against Nicolas Cage, I’m hoping the sexual
content doesn’t involve him.
The story kinda goes like this. Nicolas Cage is Dave, a weather man
in Chicago who is being offered a dream promotion to New York City.
His professional life is fabulous, but sadly, things at home are in
the crapper. I guess the movie is simply about Dave trying to get
things right in his personal life while not trying to ruin his
professional life.
This looks like it has the potential to be a great drama, with some
funny things thrown in so you don’t get to depressed. Will Dave move
to New York City? Will his family go with him? Will he stay in Chicago
where he is already loved as a weather man? Will his family move to
New York City leaving him in Chicago? Answers to all of these
questions and more will surely be answered in hopefully a decent film.
