For my own petty reasons, I really don't want to like this movie,
but I have to admit that the trailer made me laugh.
Pretty much this story has been told, and sometimes it's funny,
sometimes it's not. But pretty much you've got Charlie (Jennifer
Lopez) kinda down on love, that is until she finds Kevin (Michael
Vartan). Things are going swimmingly for them, and then Kevin
takes Charlie to meet his mom, Viola (Jane Fonda) where Kevin decides
to propose to Charlie in front of Mom. Mom doesn't want to lose
her son to anyone, so she hatches a plan to become a horrible
potential mother-in-law. The problem she runs into is that
Charlie can be just as tricky making things miserable for Viola.
Hilarity ensues, and I'm sure everyone ends up happy and the wedding
ends up being fine.
Like I said, the trailer did make me laugh, and sometimes Jennifer
Lopez totally turns me off, but this time she looks adorable.
Jane Fonda isn't looking too bad either.
"Unleashed" is higher
on my priority of movies to see when this comes out, but I'll try to
catch the Sunday matinee.
