So Paul Walker is done racing street cars (he was the cop
in the “Fast and the Furious” series). This time we get another
Michael Crichton novel now on the big screen. You get a group of
archeology students working on an old site when they get a note from
their Professor sent from the past (oh yea, he’s now missing).
Eventually they are recruited to travel to the past in this crazy time
machine to rescue him. But strange things are afoot and the dude who
invented the machine is the culprit. Can folks from the now kick the
asses of folks in the then? Can we find out why the inventor is crazy?
All was probably revealed in the book, but Richard Donner usually
seems to do a decent job in movie-making, and Crichton usually has a
good story to tell, so “Timeline” should be a good film. I’ll be in
line wondering if Paul Walker can find a decent car in the medieval
times to save the day.
