The Dude on the Left says...
Courtney Love acts like an egomaniacal crack-whore from hell, at
least that's my opinion. If she would have just shut up and sang,
Hole's set would have been great. "Doll Parts" and
"Valerie Loves Me" kicked ass, but unfortunately Courtney
had to open her hole when she wasn't singing. She started off
whining about not wanting to play in front of empty seats and tried
to get the crowd to rush the stage, much to the chagrin of the
security force, not seeming to realize nor care that quite a few
people were making their way back from the second stage.
Either that
or maybe there were a lot of people who just didn't want to see her
sorry ass. Then she rambled on incoherently about jock/geek
relations, some bazaar reference to the recent rash of high school
shootings, and Hole's set ended with Courtney flashing the crowd and
her stumbling offstage. Now there are only about 10 people who
haven't seen her tits.
The Dude on the Right says...
Wow, Dude, don't hold back. Tell us how you really feel!
Alright, Hole was one of the bands I was really looking forward to
seeing, and me, well, I wasn't disappointed, nor, I guess, nearly as
upset at Courtney Love for rambling on.
With Courtney dressed in this funky angel outfit, I only got to
see the band for my standard three songs, but I did get to listen to
the set as I waited by the second stage. She was fiery, she had her
attitude, and the band just wailed. Courtney jumped into the crowd,
I heard she dragged some people on stage, and got to hear my new
favoritist Hole song, "Awful." Yes, Courtney's rambling
did seem to tire, and I figure they could have played a couple of
more songs if she would have just kept quiet, but would this band
have the twisted reputation without stuff like that? I don't think
so.
Oh well, I enjoyed Hole, even if most of that was just hearing
them, and sadly, I missed her flashing the crowd.
